A Painterly Framer

A Painterly Framer…

 .

Hi, I’m Ian, a design graduate from Hornsey and Kingston Colleges of Art. The early decades of my career were in commercial interior and graphic design, founding and eventually selling two companies.
Then I spent a couple of years oil painting full time, mainly ‘plein air’ … a very enjoyable period of my life.
I always found framers indifferent. I never felt they saw the frame as an important last stroke in the creative process. Being a fairly practical chap, one thing led to another and Zinc White was born – and now I see a creative opportunity in every frame!
Sadly, I quickly outgrew my first location – a fabulous old Air Raid Shelter next to the Scout Hut in Oxford Road and, wanting to expand, moved to our current location, a renovated railway arch just off Putney Bridge Road.

Do drop by and meet me, together with my team – Anna, Fran, Charlotte and Peter.
